Food is known to be one of the three basic necessities of life. Yet, according to the Global Hunger Index, hunger remains a serious threat in India. Although India is primarily an agricultural state,
15.3% of our vast population is undernourished. To combat this issue, we need non-exploitative, climate-compliant agriculture and resilient food systems. Sustainable Development Goal 2, “Zero Hunger”, calls on every participant in the food industry to help end hunger, achieve food security, improve nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture.
